TADIO to distribute health safety equipments from UNESCO

Tanzania Development Information Organization (TADIO) has started to distribute the health safety equipment provided by UNESCO in collaboration with Tanzania Government to its member radio stations. These equipment wealth than 10 million TZS is intended to reach more than 300 radio practitioners and will help the journalists from these radio stations to self-protect in their day-to-day activities.

During the handover, TADIO chairperson, Mr. Prosper Kwigize urged TADIO member radio managers to ensure that the equipment are used properly and reach the end user who is the journalist especially women journalists in the stations.

The Radio managers appreciated the UNESCO and TADIO support for for Safety of the Journalists in local and community Radio in Tanzania and they promised that they will be used as intended.
