Write to get money or else fail to sustain,’- TADIO told The Management

Team for the Network of Community Media in Tanzania (TADIO) has been tasked to write project proposals as failure to write will mean failing to get funds. Prosper Kwigize; Chairperson for the Network of Community Media in Tanzania made the assertion in Morogoro on September 3, 2020, while officiating a capacity building session on strategic planning and Entrepreneurship.

“You can never get money if you do not write. Whatever is done should be visible to our members and partners. Member community radios should be utilized to promote the network for all activities,” said the Chairperson.

The chairperson called upon the team to increase the pace and creativity to ensure TADIO comes up with new projects to increase income. UNESCO Project Officer Rose Ngunangwa mentioned community radios as unique due to reaching the hard to reach areas. “You should always remember that your services touch so many lives more than you know.

Creating income for member community radios means saving the lives of staff members, their families as well as the more than 30 million people who rely upon the stations to receive key information for their lives,” she said. UNESCO conducts the five days session with funding from the SDC and technical support from Empower Limited.
